What happens if the installer finds additional issues during the installation process?
Occasionally, installers may uncover issues that they recommend fixing, such as rotted drywall from leaks or dangerous venting. If this happens, the installer will discuss the issue with you before starting any work that you hadn’t already signed off on. At Tankless, we pride ourselves on transparency and will make sure you are fully informed and comfortable with any additional work that needs to be done before proceeding.
What size tankless water heater do I need for my home?
When it comes to choosing the right size tankless water heater for your home, there are a few factors to consider such as the number of bathrooms, the water usage, and the temperature of the water in your area. We generally recommend replacing the same size unit that your home already has. If you want to re-evaluate your current water heater size, you can use these guidelines: - For a home with 1 bathroom: 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM) - For a home with 2 bathrooms: 5 GPM - For a home with 3 bathrooms: 7.5 GPM - For a home with 4 bathrooms or more: 10 GPM However, it's important to note that these are just general guidelines and it's always best to consult with a professional plumber to determine the right size tankless water heater for your specific needs.
Are there any rebates or tax credits available for purchasing a tankless water heater from Tanklesss?
Yes, there are rebates available for purchasing a tankless water heater from Tanklesss. These rebates will be given through the local service provider. Additionally, there is a tax credit available for the purchase of a tankless water heater. This tax credit is 30% of the project cost (up to $600). It is important to check with your local service provider and tax professional to determine eligibility and specific details.
Do tankless water heaters provide instant hot water?
Tankless water heaters do not provide instant hot water by themselves. However, getting instant hot water is absolutely achievable by installing a recirculation pump. How you get that recirculation pump working depends on what works best for you and your home.
What is the difference between a traditional water heater and a tankless water heater?
Traditional water heaters store and heat a large amount of water in a tank, which can eventually run out and require time to heat up again. In contrast, a tankless heater can provide unlimited hot water because it maintains 2-8 gallons per minute (gpm) of hot water as long as water is flowing through it. This makes tankless heaters a more energy-efficient and convenient option for households of all sizes.
